OCA National President Sharon Wong, OCA National Acting Chief Executive Officer Ken Lee, and members of the OCA-GLA Host Committee presented highlights of the upcoming OCA National Convention at a press conference held at Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles. Wong and Lee discussed OCA’s organizational growth and national excitement for the upcoming Convention. Lee said, “OCA is a testament to how far the Asian Pacific American community has come in the past few years.”

OCA-GLA condemns the racist and xenophobic remarks made by Bob Beckel on July 10th’s broadcast of The Five. We call for his resignation and encourage the APA community to join us in this effort by calling Fox News individually to demand action.

The ordinance, which would require at least one sign on non-residential properties to use the modern Latin alphabet, is nonsensical, discriminatory, and potentially unconstitutional.
